The Wisconsin Regional Primate Research Center - University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking an individual with limited flowcytometry experience. The succesful candidate will have a B.S. in a biological science. Will be trained in the usage and maintenance of a FACSCalibur flow cytometer. This is an ENTRY LEVEL POSITION for a person interested in providing directed technical support to research projects on Simian Immunodeficiency Virus and other viruses using both in vitro and whole animal models. As the successful applicant becomes efficient in the area of flow cytometry, a major responsibility will be the management of a small flow cytometry laboratory, and the routine flow monitoring of animal blood and tissue samples. Additional duties will include running standard serological assays, tissue culturing and other laboratory support tasks as required.
