Detection of Neutrophil degranulation

I'm making this inquiry on behalf of an investigator working with
neutrophil activation who is seeking a marker to be used by flow cytometry
which would correlate accurately with degranulation. He has a reference
describing the use of a protein called granulophysin (detected on the
surface membrane of neutrophils) as a surrogate for degranulation. Any
additional information, insights, references, etc., would be greatly
appreciated.
