Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health has a flow cytometry operator/supervisor position currently available. The flow cytometry laboratory was established in 1985 to study the basic mechanism of immune defects in individuals who are in infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Some of the supervisor duties include; flow cytometric analysis of cohort studies, designing experimental protocols and procedures for principal investigators, post docs, and students who require analysis using a Coulter Epics Elite and/or a Coulter XL, monitoring and training lab techs and students, and presenting data at meetings, both in-house and internationally. The successful candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in flow cytometry, good verbal and written communication skills, excellent troubleshooting experience, work well in a team environment and be able to facilitate growth and learning in others.
