We have working with an antibody and have a few cell lines that show the antibody has specificity for our disease but we are still trying to define the antigen. We have used neuramidase (sp?) to see if it is a glycolipid or glycoprotein and it is not. We have tried incubating the cells in trypsin and they still stain fine. We are now looking for a whole cell way to see if it is a carbohydrate. Does anyone have a method for this without antigen precipitation?
