Ratios on FSP+,+,+

I have a dual laser, 3 beam FACStar Plus with TurboSort option, 7th
detector upgrade, SEM, and 2 pulse processing boards. This instrument is
used mostly for sorting, but the other day I needed to do a Ca++
mobilization experiment, measuring violet to blue ratio as a function of
time... something which was routine before all these additions. Configured
for the 7th detector, the PP boards did not give a ratio signal. Switching
back to an unmodified peak and hold board (slot 13), still no ratio. With
a standard pre-amp board (slot 19), I obtained proper area and width
signals from the second laser... but still no ratio. I suspected a problem
when varying numerator and denominator made no difference, even with the
numerator much too high (which should have shifted everything off scale).
Also no effect (no change) in "calib" mode on the (correct) PP board.

Am I missing something here, is there a configuration problem, a bad board,
or what?

I would appreciate responses from anyone and everyone with similar setups.
I know that the Vantage works fine with this setup (no need for the 7th D
upgrade), and that the new P & H board does a world of good, but mine isn't
quite a Vantage....

Thanks,

Claude
