Hi Carol, Coming from a position of complete ignorance and inexperience of chicken red cells: Lysing with conventional agents will be problematic, as these are nucleated cells. However, if you had an anti-chicken blood group antibody (if there is such a thing!) or other red cell surface antigen, that bound complement (analagous to human IgG1/IgM) then this might let you pick off the red cells selectively.
