Hi,
the approach would depend of course on your experiment set-up and which
kind of (how rare!) events you are looking for.
In our recent paper by Lucio et al., Leukemia 1999, 13, 419-427 you can
find the guidance and further references describing the approach that is
used by the BIOMED Concerted Action on  Investigation of Minimal Residual
Disease in Acute Leukemia. If this approach fits your experiments, please
