FITC and sperm

Can anyone help??  I have an FITC block for our CASA machine which 
should allow me to monitor changes in sperm antigens using FITC 
labelled MAbs and lectins.  I have tried labelling the sperm with 
fluorscein and FITC conjugated lectins but it won't pick anything up. 
The stain is visible under UV light.  Any suggestions.
