The Anderson Cancer Research Fellowship funded PhD studentship is available in the Department of Surgery in collaboration with the Surgical Directorate, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Gateshead to examine: The effect of radiotherapy on the biological properties of colorectal cancer cells. The project will involve flow cytometry, molecular biology and cell cultuure techniques paying particular attention to cell cycle and mucin changes induced in the human cell in vivo and in vitro during treatment.
