Hi Keri, Why don't you use System 2 from your XL to analyse your data on a remote PC? It is very flexible in listmode analysis and allows for batch analysis if you have many replicate tests. I assume you already have System 2 on your flow cytometer so there is no need to buy another software package. The one limitation is that as the software is DOS based it is advisable to create a dual boot for your PC. We routinely collect data on the XL and transfer it to a network drive where it can be analysed from a remote PC using System 2. For presentations and publications Beckman Coulter also has a windows based software package called EXPO. This is fairly easy to use in its most recent version and histograms can be "cut and paste" into a word processing or presentation software for editing. I am trying to find an efficient way to analyze data (particularly in messy spleen cell populations). Since we have an older model computer (486-66 DTX) with little memory we would like to transfer the data and analyze it on a more powerful PC. My question is what software would you suggest? Although we are not a clinical lab we still do many of the same experiments multiple time and would like to save template layouts. My experience is with CellQuest but recently we have being evaluating "WinMDI". My impression thus far is that although the graphics are beautiful and the price is right, it is tedious to crank through data, i.e. there are several steps needed to generate one graph and one must do this over and over. Am I missing something? What other software would be useful to evaluate? Thank you in advance for your suggestions and advice. Keri Tate
