staining plasmodia by flow

Hello,
If anyone out there has experience examining free plasmodia parasite 
in peripheral blood by flow cytometry, could they contact me?  I 
would like to stain merozoites in the peripheral blood of mice (with 
a variety of antibodies), and would like to get some advice on gating 
strategies, ways of distinguishing these organisms from platelets 
etc.  Thanks very much.
