Hoechst 33342

Hello Flow People,
Many moons ago I talked with someone about the efflux of Hoechst 33342 in
hematopoetic stem cells because of P-glycoprotein and problems with
measuring cell cycle. I cannot remember for the life of me who I talked
with. Now, I would like to measure cell cycle in a multicolor system
using UV on murine thymic precursor cells. Is anyone using a pgp
inhibitor for these kinds of assays? Verapamil? Cyclosporin A? or some
other pump inhibitor to keep the HO in the cells for the assay?

I know the absence of the HO may be the way to go but I would like to see
who is proliferating.

Thanks for any advice.
