> Does Dichlorofluorescin diacetate (DCFDA)decay in 10 mM stock solution in ethanol, stored at -20 oC ? While you may be able to keep a stock of DCFHDA around for a while under certain conditions, I have always required people in my lab to make it fresh every day. Over the years, I've noticed some resistance to this old fashioned idea.... from some of my graduate students... until they realize that the probe is oxidized steadily.....and they wasted an assay or several.. It's very cheap, easy to make up, and should be tossed out every day!
