Hi, we have tried CD138 together with cytoplasmic kappa and lambda in myeloma, gating on CD138 vs SSC. CD138 was from Immunoquality Products and triple staining: lambda/kappa/CD138. First we stain with CD138, then permeabilize with Permeafix, then stain for kappa and lambda. CD138 works well also in paraffin sections of BM biopsies but one has to be aware that CD138 crossreacts with squamous epithelium and can be positive in cancer metastasis to BM.
