	Current ACTG guidelines suggest the following:
optimally, 2,500 anchor marker positive cells [i.e. gated cells] 
minimally, 1,000 anchor marker positive cells

For major lymphocyte subsets, it has been reported that 500 cells will 
provide comparable resutls:
Lape'-Nixon and Prince, Cytometry, 26: 223, 1996
