Analyzing de-paraffinized breast cancer specimens with ModFit 2.0 on the BD FACSCalibur, we are seeing a band tightly "bound to" the Y axis {FL2-area} on the area vs. width plot that we have been told by BD to "ignore". It is present when analyzing peripheral blood as well. Has anyone else seen this band in their data? Could it be an artifact of the software/data processing? Is it a reagent/specimen problem? If you recognize it, do you know what the scientific basis may be for it? If you would like to see an example, please send me you fax number and I will send one to you.
