Dear all,

We are having problems in contacting following company:
Silenus Laboratories,
5 Guest Street,
Hawthorn
3122 Australia.
Our mail has been returned, is this address not valid anymore?

For all those that are using anti-mouse IgG to detect newly generated mabs,
you may find following observation in our lab quite interesting:

One of the mabs that were generated in our lab and that was initially
selected on the basis of interference in a functional assay was found to be
recognized by an anti-mouse IgG FITC conjugated sera from one company
(actually one from Silenus) but not by that of another company (currently
used in our lab). The mouse mab is an IgG1. This means that if we would
have selected the mabs on their binding potential on cells first, this mab
would not have been detected.
How can this IgG1 mab not be recognized by this sera whereas other IgG1's
are recognized by this same sera?

Greetings,
