Here in Canada we have a small population and a large country, making continuing education activities for flow cytometry challenging. We are considering a distance education program to fill a perceived lack in basic training for flow cytometrists, who may work primarily in another area. The area of focus will be on clinical applications. My questions are these: What activities are there outside of Canada? Is anyone aware of distance education programs in other countries? Are there courses available leading to some type of certification in flow cytometry? I would be interested in hearing from anyone who may already have a training module prepared for a specific topic ie "neutrophil function by flow cytometry" etc Thanks in advance for your time.
