Greetings, A member of our Faculty of Dentistry would like your opinions and insight on the following. (You can E-mail him directly at ted.fillery@utoronto.ca) The idea is to measure the ratio of neutrophils/macrophages as an indirect indicator of delayed apoptosis in the area around the teeth. Apparently there is a delay in apoptosis in neutrophils in the presence of some cytokines. The use of CD11b or CD14 for macrophages, and CD16 or CD15 for neutrophils has been suggested. Any better ideas out there? Many thanks, Cheryl Cheryl Smith Department of Immunology Medical Sciences Bldg. 1 Kings College Circle, University of Toronto Toronto, Ontario, Canada M5S 1A8 Tel (416) 978-6524 Fax (416) 978-1938
