BD's Turbo sort = Turbo problems?

Hi,

Our lab has recently purchased a Turbo Sort for the Vantage and since the
thing has been installed (beginning of December) we have not been able to
sort much anymore, even not at (normal) low speed.
After one month of (intensive) trying out the new system (some settings
have to be done manually again with this system) and the frequent visits of
BD people (with each of them having their own way of working and having
different solutions for the same problems) we still have bad recovery
yields and are coping with unstable drop delays.
The question we have to people who have also installed the turbo sort is:
did you have similar problems in getting the sorter to function in a decent
way (did it also took so long and will it ever work)?
We have thus certainly not been able to test out if the Turbo sort will
indeed allow us to sort 3 to 4 times faster while keeping a high purity and
yield, so we would like to hear if there are groups out there that can tell
us if all this trouble is worthwhile or if we better remove the Turbo sort
and get back to our old configuration?.

(and I am not even mentioning the computer problems we currently have after
the HP computers have been changed for Macintosh machines on the FACScan
and FACScalibur).

All comments are welcome,

Thanks
