Colleagues: Thanks for the quality contributions to this list during 1997. It's been a record year - again - more contributions, more participants. I am very grateful to you all for sharing your knowledge in a very collegial fashion. The Cytometry List has become a valuable communication forum in the field of cytometry. In case you are unaware, Steve Kelley spends a lot of time making sure your questions go out with a minimum of fuss and a minimum of trash...the list is "monitored" which means that things can't be just dumped to the list wasting your precious time. We appreciate the contributions from the corporate sector in cytometry. It is refreshing to see a genuine attempt by the corporate users to be cautious when discussing their products. Most of the companies monitor this list and their contributions have become a valuable component that we hope will continue. Finally, all the staff and students at the Purdue University Cytometry Laboratories who maintain this list wish all of you a happy, prosperous and most of all academically successful 1998. Cytometry has been good to us all!
