SF9 cells

Hi everybody,
we have problems to detect beta-adrenoceptors on SF9
cells by flow cytometry.
These cells were transfected and have about
500.000 to 1.000.000 beta-1-receptors.
We get very nice figures with the microscope,
but whenever we tried to detect the receptors
by flow cytometry, we failed.
We make a live/dead staining with PI, take the
live cells and get only a 5 fold increase over the
autofluorescence with 1 million receptors!

Does anybody has experience with these cells?
As we allways have nice pictures with the
fluorescence microscope, it is not clear, why we
should not see it by flow cytometry.

Thanks for any help

Andreas
