Position Description
Responsible for developing and conducting flow cytometer training courses
for customers and employees. Assists with development of customer training
programs. Prepares lesson plans, laboratory exercises, training guides,
and other course materials to support training plan. Presents customer
training programs following training plan and standard lesson plans.
Presents classroom lectures, conducts laboratory training sessions,
administers examinations, and prepares student evaluations. Follows up to
determine applicability of course material. Modifies training program as
appropriate. Maintains classrooms, laboratories, and associated equipment.
Provides training at customer facilities, including initial and follow up
training, as scheduled by management.
Qualifications
Typically requires a BS in a related scientific discipline, or a BA in
Education with a scientific minor and two years of laboratory experience or
technical training experience, or equivalent combination of related
technical education and experience. Requires 2 years of flow cytometry
experience preferably with BD equipment. Effective troubleshooting,
analytical and problem solving skills, written and oral communications
skills required.
