We found when thawing pilot vials from PB and bone marrow samples or diluting an infusion sample we could reduce clumping by adding preservative free heparin to the diluent at 10 u/ml. The vial is thawed at 37C and diluted in 9 volumes of IMDM or saline. This does allow you to dilute in IMDM which would cause clumping otherwise. We don't add DNAse.
