Hi, everybody Live cells stained with SYBR-14 (DNA stain, penetrates intact membranes) fluoresces brighter (ab. 10x) than dead ones. Why does it happen? Or, in the other words: what is the mechanism by which SYBR-14 binds to DNA? Saying 'cells' I mean spermatozoa. I don't know what about other kinds of cells. Thanks in advance for any information.
