Dear Rafael, Thank you very much for your comments on the NK-cell leukemia case. We have now got a new cytogenetics (at the time of progress) which showed after 24h culture a clone: 45X,-Y,add(2),-7,i(7)(q10),add(8),-16+mar[12], which is consistent with a malignant clone. We have cells frozen both for DNA/RNA and in liquid nitrogen, but not much. The studies you suggested are very interesting indeed, so when we thaw the cells I will check the IFN staining by flow and I will discuss the possibility of establishing the cell line with the research lab. (unfortunately I do not have such possibilities at Hematopathology). I will also talk to clinicians about checking IL-12. The patient started the high-risk ALL protocol last week. My guess is if that >leukemia is a NK cell, you should be able to detect high IL-12 (very, very >high) as well as interferon gamma. >Regards and keep the good job >Rafael > > > \|/ > (o o) >________________________________oOo__(_)__oOo_________________________________ > ___/\_ | Rafael Nunez mailto:rafaeln@vetvir.unizh.ch > / o \/| | University Inst.for Virology http://www.unizh.ch/vetvir > / _| | Winterthurerstr. 266a Telephone: (+41) 1 6358709 > /_/\__/-\/ | 8057 Zurich SWITZERLAND Faximile : (+41) 1 6358911 >______________________________________________________________________________ > > > > > > > > >
