Elizabeth,
One of our PhD students works with Daunorubicin efflux assay on AML cells 
and she has noticed that after about 1h there is a "steady state" which 
means that she has to  centrifuge cells and change medium again to get more 
DNR out. Maybe that is the case with Doxo as well. Just a thought.
