The Institute for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine
at the University of Regensburg has a position open for a 
postdoctoral research fellow within it's flow cytometry group.

Work within a cooperative research project which currently 
will be financed for 2 1/2 years will focus on the analysis
of the antigen specific antigen presentation and T cell activation
in patients with autoimmune diseases and tumors.
Analysis will be mainly based on the functional characterization of 
minor subsets of T cells and antigen presenting cells based 
on short term in vitro activation assays and dual laser-multi 
color analysis including cell sorting.

The applying scientist should have a strong background in 
experimental methodology and an academic education 
preferably in cell biology, biochemistry, or biophysics.
The salary (according to BAT level IIa) will depend on age 
and family and ranges (including benefits) between
35,000 and 55,000 USD.

Regensburg is a medieval town located in the heart of 
Bavaria near to the Munich airport. The University of 
Regensburg Medical School has been newly built and 
opened in 1991 with brand new facilities which are still 
growing. The Institute for Clinical Chemistry which has more 
than a hundred employees already now has a large flow 
cytometry facility with all types of instruments available.
