Hi, An easy to use and in the same time professional chem draw software is the latest version of ISIS/Draw, available for free at MDL Information System homepage; you could easily locate their web site using Altavista or other search engine. The program has incorporated Rasmol software and you can see and manipulate in "3D" the structures you draw. It also makes computations on chemical reactivity, reaction centers, molecular structure, 3D coordinates; it does not minimize or dock structures but having direct link to RasMol they can be seen in "3D". ISIS comes with an extensive database of various predrawed, ready to use structures, including aminoacids and can manipulate aminoacid or nucleic acid sequences. Other programs are CaCHE, by Softshell, and ChemOffice -a suite including a true 3D drawing program, by Cambridge Soft. Both are commercially available and relatively unexpensive(CaCHE is 300$). For undemanding purposes, ISIS remains anyway a reliable tool. calin.
