     Genetic Therapy, Inc., a Novartis company, is the leader in the
     development of human gene therapy products for the treatment of
     genetic and acquired diseases.  Using this novel approach, genes are
     inserted into cells to produce therapeutic proteins in the body.
     Founded in 1986, Genetic Therapy and its collaborators represent one
     of the largest groups of scientists dedicated to research and
     development in this field.  The Company's product development target
     programs include: cancers, hemophilia and cystic fibrosis.  We are
     currently in a Phase III Clinical Trial for brain tumors.

     Research Associate III

     We are seeking a senior technician to develop technologies for gene
     transfer to the lung.  This individual must be well versed in small
     animal surgical procedures and be able to perform tissue culture and
     molecular techniques.  A working knowledge of cellular and humoral
     immune assays, including flow cytometry, is essential.  The successful
     applicant will be self-motivated, able to work independently and in a
     team setting, and have good written and oral communication skills.
