This disclaimer is probably required by the FDA for those reagents or instruments NOT apporoved by them for clinical apps. Facilities that use these in clinical situations are therefore solely responsible for any consequence, good or bad. I would question, however, how insurance carriers respond to the knowledge that these "un-approved" reagents are included in tests they cover. MAK.
