I need some help I try to make a immunology program with cytometrics data (for french students) This highschool immunology program requires us to teach the following points: 1) Lymphocyte development localization 2) Intervenants of the immune response to bacterial infection 3) Intervenants of the immune response to viral infection We would like to make these ideas apparent from the study of cytometric data. About point 1) Do you think it would be possible to compare B and T cell populations between control mice, thymectomized or nude mice and irradiated mice? About point 2) Do you think it would be possible to detect any quantitative variation in some CD4 or B cell populations during a bacterial infection? We want to show that the infection has actually induced a clonal expansion of these populations and that the cells of these populations exhibit interleukin receptors on their plasmic membranes. Is there any marker of plasmocyte differenciation? About point 3) Do you think it would be possible to detect any quantitative variation in some CD4 and CD8 populations during a viral infection? We want to show that the infection has induced a clonal expansion of certain CD4 and CD8 populations that exhibit expression of interleukin receptors? Is there any cytotoxic T cell specific marker? We would also like to know whether any intervention of MHC can be shown in the immune response to viral infection? Thanks again for your collaboration.
