The University of South Carolina School of Medicine/ Richland Memorial Hospital Division of Transplantation Medicine anticipates an opening for a medical technologist in the flow cytometry laboratory in mid to late May 1997. The laboratory is a clinical and reference laboratory under the direction of Dr. Lawrence S. Lamb, Jr and processes approximately 1200 patient specimens/year in addition to specimens received from internal and external research protocols. Previous flow cytometry experience is strongly suggested. The laboratory supports a unique clinical bone marrow transplant program focusing on partially mismatched related donor BMT. Flow applications include immune reconstitution, immune function, leukemia immunophenotyping and minimal residual disease, CD34 analysis, cell sorting, and a variety of research applications.
