What: Annual Clinical Flow Cytometry Course Sponsored by the Clinical Cytometry Society Where: Charleston, South Carolina When: August 17-19, 1997 Course Organizers: Maryalice Stetler-Stevenson and Ricardo Duque The Clinical Cytometry Society is sponsoring the third annual Clinical Cytometry course. This course will offer an intensive review of the most common clinical applications of flow cytometry with an emphasis on data analysis and interpretation. Topics include diagnosis of acute leukemia and lymphoproliferative disorders, stem cell enumeration, minimal residual disease detection, monitoring of immune recovery following bone marrow transplantation and flow cytometric evaluation of solid tumors. Course material will be covered in lectures and hands on manipulation of actual patient data. Class sizes will be kept small to allow close interaction with faculty members for an optimal learning experience. A comprehensive course syllabus will be provided. The course is appropriate for pathologists and medical technologists with experience in the field of flow cytometry as well as pathologists or oncologists utilizing flow cytometric data in diagnosis and patient management.
