Purpose:  Scientists strive for inter-laboratory precision and accuracy. These basic goals are shared by flow cytometrists. However, differences in instrument, reagents, and analysis software have made these goals difficult to achieve. The Center for Quantitative Cytometry has been established as a non-profit organization, to address the issues of precision and accuracy through standardization of quantitative analysis. The key activity of the Center to promote standardization is conducting one day Quantitative Workshops throughout the world.
