security/ log on software

Is there a software package that will allow us to monitor usage of our
Facscalibur? We run Cellquest 3.1f on a Quadra 650 using Mac OS 7.5.3. We
need a package that will make all users log on and record their use time.
B-D tells me that Fileguard must be disabled for each data acquisition, so
that sure won't do. Does Foolproof work for this? Are there any little
applescripts I could write myself? Other ideas, other than installing a
hidden camera over the cytometer?
I know this has been discussed in the past, but can't find any evidence
that there was a consensus. Thanks to all.
