We use Rainbow beads for calibrating our He/Ne, UV and 488 lasers
simultaneously; however, these 'Rainbow' beads are manufacutred by Spherotech
Inc. in Libertyville, IL (telephone 1-800-368-0822). Perhaps Pharmingen is
marketing the same beads or have some with a similar sounding name. Anyway, the
Rainbow beads work well for calibration in that they are quite bright on the UV
and He/Ne. The only partial problem is that the CV's while good, are not as
tight as one might want for DNA calibration.
