I am trying to prepare my own figures for manuscripts by using either Elite or
Reproman files and importing them into Harvard Graphics in an IMB 486 clone. I
have an old (very old) version of HG and am wondering whether to buy the
newest version. My old one will not accept these files.
Does anyone know if these files can be successfully imported and
labelled etc using HG? Does it take FCS 1.0 format or is the ascii format
necessary. I am transferring FACScan files using FACSnet and then analyzing
with Rreproman. Is there a better, but friendly, package for making
publication quality/ready histograms and/or dot plots? Is there a way to
overlay plots from two different files using a graphics package after
transfer? Elite software does this well but I have no control over the kinds
of lines used and often what I most want to show ends up as the fine dotted
line.
Any help will be appreciated.

Linda
