In reference to achieving higher apparent sorting speeds by triggering on
fluorescence, check out the paper I published with Carl Stewart on this
subject (Cytometry 12:268-274, 1991, "Sorting Minor Populations of
Cells:Use of Fluorescence as the Triggering Signal."
CD-ROM Vol 3 was produced by Monica M. Shively and other staff at the
Purdue University Cytometry Laboratories and distributed free of charge
as an educational service to the cytometry community.
