Purity of sorted populations

I do a lot of sorting and cloning of rare human cells(using a BD Vantage)
and was wondering if anyone knew of a good article on the parameters
affecting purity. Most papers published using sorted cells don't really
address the purity of the sorted cells. Are there a lot of people out there
who assume that sorted cells are 100% pure?
