There is a small group of investigators here at the U that would like to
purchase a flow cytometer, mainly for sorting. They would like to have
technicians from each lab run the experiments from that lab. They would like
to know how "user-friendly" people consider these instruments, and if there
are any instruments (Vantage or Elite) that are set up to be run by individuals
and not by one main operator. I have my opinion as to whether or not this
is practical on an Elite, but I have never run a Vantage and cannot compare.
I would love to hear from people who have both, but comments from everyone are
invited. I know that someone else put out a similar memo last year, but I can't
remember who, but if someone already has a compilation of info on this subject,
I'd be grateful if you'd share it.
Confidential replies can be faxed to me at (313)-764-2566 if you prefer.
Thanks
Kris Weber
