Vb23 is a family with a single member (IgRb04 sequence), the product of which is recognized by the AF23 antibody. Vb23 is expressed on the HUT78 and H9 cell lines, which is frequently used to grow HIV. AF23 stains from 0.4 to 5% of peripheral CD3+ cells in normal blood.
