Vb22 is a newly characterized subfamily of the T cell receptor.The IMMU 546 antibody recognizes the IGRb03 sequence.Another gene has been described for this family which differs by only one amino acid and may represent an allelic variant.Recognition of this sequence is likely but has not been formally proven yet.IMMU 546 stains from 2.4to 5.1% of peripheral CD3+ cells in normal blood.
