Vb5 is a multimembered subfamily of the T cell receptor.Immu157 recognizes the Vb5.1 (HBP51 sequence) member of this subfamily.Vb5.2 and Vb5.3 (PL25 and 12A1 sequences) are not recognized.Recognition of other members of the Vb5 subfamily has not been found but cannot be formally excluded.This antibody stains from 4.2 to 7.2% of peripheral CD3+ cells in normal blood.
