Vb2 is the human variable b2 chain of the T cell receptor.The MPB2D5 antibody recognizes all the members (Molt4 identical to PL2.13, PH34 and TCRVBV2S13 sequences) of the Vb2 subfamily that are in fact alleles.It stains appoximately 10 % of peripheral CD3+ cells in normal blood. Vb2 is the target of Toxic Shock Syndrome Toxin 1 (TSST1).
