This antibody reacts with proteins that are phosphorylated by tyrosine kinases. It does not recognize phosphoserine or phosphothreonine but shows weak cross-reactivity with 5'-mononucleotides. 6D12 antibody is suitable for immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry on cryostat or paraffin embedded tissue sections.
