Nuclear protein p120 is a 120 kDa proliferation-associated antigen. It is expressed in mid G1 phase of the cell cycle and increased levels of p120 are rapidly degraded late in mitosis or during entry into G1. p120 is detected in some normal proliferating cells, including colonic epithelium, spermatogenia in the testis, and PHA-stimulated lymphocytes. By electron microscopy, p120 is detected primarily in beaded fibrils, primarily located throughout the granular component of the nucleus. FB-2 antibody was evaluated during the Fifth International Workshop on Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens.
