These monoclonal antibodies react with the Ki67 nuclear antigen which is associated with cell proliferation and found throughout the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, M phases). It is absent in resting (G0) cells. They allow evaluation of the mitotic index and the quantification of the growth fraction. MIB-1 antibody recognizes native Ki67 antigen and recombinant fragments of Ki67 molecule. It is suitable for fixed-paraffin embedded tissue sections after heat treatment and eventually pretreatment with trypsin. The FITC conjugated form has been used to the study of cell proliferation and stimulated lymphocytes. MIB-1 is not available in Germany
