cdk2 is a nuclear transcription factor. With cdc2 it acts as a catalytic subunit bound to cyclin A.The 8A12 antibody recognizes human cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (cdk2) and human cdk5 but not human cdc2 (cdk1). It cross-reacts with mouse cdk2. It is suitable for immunoblotting.
