cdc2 is a nuclear transcription factor. With cdk2, it acts as a catalytic subunit bound to cyclin A. 2A10 and 5F6 antibodies recognize the human cdc2 homologues as well as other eukaryote cdc2 homologues, including CDC28 Saccharomyces cerevisiae homologue. They also react with cdk2. 2A10 antibody recognizes the epitope KIRLESEE and 5F6 antibody recognizes the EGVPSTAI epitope. Both antibodies are suitable for immunoblotting.
